Chai Latte Recipes

2. Chai Tea Latte Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp of Masala Chai or MW Coconut Chai tea

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy like oat, almond, or coconut milk)

  • 1-2 tbsp sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar—adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. In a small pot, heat 1/2 cup of water to 195°F (90°C). If you don’t have a thermometer, let it come to a gentle boil, then let it sit for about 30 seconds to reach the right temperature.

  2. Add your chai tea to the water. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes to extract the full, rich flavor of the spices.

  3. While the tea is steeping, warm your milk in a separate saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally to avoid it scalding. Once it’s hot (but not boiling), remove it from the heat.

  4. Stir in your sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, or sugar) into the warm milk, adjusting the sweetness to your preference.

  5. After the tea has steeped to your desired strength, remove the tea bag or strain the loose tea. Pour the brewed tea into your mug, then gently add the sweetened milk to the tea.

  6. To add an extra touch, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon or nutmeg on top of your latte for some added warmth and fragrance.

  7. Stir everything together and enjoy your rich, aromatic chai latte. The perfect balance of spice, warmth, and creaminess!

3. Iced Chai Latte

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp of Masala Chai or MW Coconut Chai tea

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy like oat, almond, or coconut milk)

  • 1-2 tbsp sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar—adjust to taste)

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional garnish: ground cinnamon or nutmeg for a little extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. In a small pot, heat 1/2 cup of water to 195°F (90°C), or bring it to a gentle boil and let it cool for about 30 seconds. Add your chai tea and steep for 3-5 minutes.

  2. After steeping, remove the tea bag or strain the loose tea leaves. While the tea is still hot, stir in your sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar) so it dissolves easily. Let the tea cool to room temperature, or you can speed up the cooling by placing it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.

  3. In a separate container, mix your milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy) with a little more sweetener if you'd like it sweeter.

  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour the cooled chai tea into the glass, leaving a little room at the top. Slowly add the sweetened milk, filling the rest of the glass.

  5. For a finishing touch, sprinkle a little ground cinnamon or nutmeg on top of your iced chai latte for a subtle extra kick of spice.

  6. Stir everything together until well mixed, and enjoy your cool, creamy iced chai latte!
