Earl Grey Latte Recipes
1. Maui Mist Latte
Our Island take of the classic London Fog drink.
Ingredients:
-
1 round teaspoon of Maui Earl Grey tea leaves per cup
-
1 cup of water (preferably filtered)
-
1/2 cup of steamed milk (dairy or non-dairy like coconut or almond milk works great)
-
1-2 teaspoons vanilla syrup (adjust to your sweetness preference)
-
Optional: a splash of coconut water or coconut milk for an extra tropical touch
Instructions:
-
Heat water to 195°F (95°C). If you don’t have a thermometer, just bring it to a boil and then let it cool for a minute or two.
-
Place the tea leaves in your teapot or cup and pour the hot water over them. Let the tea steep for about 3 minutes to bring out that lovely, fragrant Earl Grey flavor.
-
While the tea is steeping, steam your milk. You can do this with a milk frother or heat the milk gently on the stove. If you want a creamier, more tropical flavor, try using coconut milk.
-
Once your tea has steeped, remove the tea leaves. Pour the steamed milk into the cup with the tea, then stir in the vanilla syrup.
-
For a final Maui-inspired touch, add a small splash of coconut water or coconut milk into the mix, enhancing that island flavor. Stir to combine.
-
Optional: Top it with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if you'd like, or just enjoy the comforting warmth of your Maui Earl Grey London Fog.
